12th All Africa-Games, Rabat, Morocco, August 2019

The new and beautiful Ibn Rochd Sports Complex in Rabat hosted the events of the Men's and Women's Artistic Gymnastics of the 12th edition of the All Africa Games, which saw the participation of 56 gymnasts representing 8 African countries, including 33 male gymnasts and 23 women. It should be noted that Cameroon and Ethiopia are participating for the first time in gymnastics in the history of the Games.

This competition, under the auspices of the International Gymnastics Federation and the African Gymnastics Union (ID 16232), recorded the absence of some Zone 3 federations such as South Africa, Namibia and Zimbabwe. The Senegalese federation, announced initially, could not take part at the last moment.

It should be noted that the competitions were held in very good conditions thanks to a good preparation and a continuous coordination of the leaders of the Royal Moroccan Gymnastics Federation, the Organizing Committee of the All Africa Games Morocco 2019, the African Gymnastics Union and the International Gymnastics Federation.

The gymnasts and the technical officials as well as the coaches participated fully in the success of this competition.

Due to the insufficient number of FIG patent judges in Africa, 21 judges representing national federations from other continents, affiliated with the FIG, responded to the call of the UAG, to officiate at this event.
